Now Iran wants to build a nuclear
submarine, to defend itself they say? Yes, let's just build silent
running nuclear subs for everyone and fill the oceans with them? Why
not? Gives little human something to do, running around braving the
oceans or that little Persian Gulf in enclosed undersea capsules where
they can be really sneaky and put the fear of god into their enemy - but
what happens when they have a disaster in the Persian Gulf there? Ouch,
and it's not if, it's when.
There was an interesting piece in the Wall Street Journal by Jay Solomon recently titled; "Iran Says It Plans Nuclear Submarine" which was published on June 13, 2012. They say they've already started building this machine. If so, this would possibly an argument for continuation of further enriching uranium past the 20% needed to run a nuclear power plant to let's say 90 to 96%.
Still, I question Iran's ability to even get this done without help from China or Russia, and I suspect either might be assisting. Why you ask? Well, China is striking back after Obama told them that they are not exempt from the trade restrictions on buying oil from Iran, or Russia because they assume we started a fire in one of their nuclear submarines in port while they were having another ceremony to announce the completion and refurbishing of an old cold war nuke sub to be sold to a foreign nation.
Some even believe that the vacuum cleaner fire which ignited a US Nuclear Submarine in port was actually started by Russian spies and covert operations as a tit-for-tat as they believed our special forces did it to them. Even if all that is mere speculation on my part, I'd still say there is no way Iran is able to do this on their own with China or Russia's help.
Further, here is my initial response to all of this; "We cannot trust the Iranian propaganda machine, the subs they've been building are junk, just extra targets I guess. We shall see, about this latest claim - 90% sure it's BS." Indeed, I am not sure how we are supposed to negotiate a peaceful resolution to our differences with a constant barrage of global media propaganda coming from Iran. If they really don't want to negotiate or talk, then it's time to stop listening run our game plan on our time-table, aka; at a time and place of our choosing, and get on with it.
We don't have time for anymore childish games, let's just get busy - after all, Iran has absolutely no intention on giving up its non-peaceful uranium enrichment and once they get their little bomb, so too will all the nations watch, not only in the gulf there or throughout the Middle East, on other continents as well - it's basically a Pandora's Box scenario, and everyone knows it whether they care or dare to address that reality or not. Indeed, I hope you will please consider all this and think on it.
